What Samsung Galaxy S26 details are officially confirmed?

Samsung India announced the Galaxy S26 series on 26 February 2026 and its India product pages list the base Galaxy S26. The official name is Galaxy S26. “Samsung S26” is common shorthand, but it should not be used to assume a different model, a larger S26+ or an S26 Ultra.

For the base model, Samsung’s India specifications list 12 GB memory with 256 GB or 512 GB storage; a 15.93 cm display measured as a full rectangle; a 149.6 × 71.7 × 7.2 mm body; and a 167 g weight. Use the full name Galaxy S26 when checking a box label, invoice, configuration or official support page. Samsung India presents Galaxy S26 as the base phone, while the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra are separate models. “S26” alone does not identify storage, colour, included accessories or final price.

The base S26 is the smaller official option: Samsung lists it at 15.93 cm and 167 g, against 16.91 cm and 190 g for the S26+. It lists the Ultra at 17.49 cm and 214 g, with a different camera system and Privacy Display. Choose the base S26 if its smaller body and two storage options fit; compare the larger models separately if size or their distinct features matter to you.

There are two useful price references. Samsung India’s February launch announcement listed ₹87,999 for 12 GB/256 GB and ₹107,999 for 12 GB/512 GB. Those were launch prices, not a current checkout quote.

On 15 October 2026, Samsung India’s purchase page showed ₹102,999 for 12 GB/256 GB against ₹117,999 MRP, and ₹122,999 for 12 GB/512 GB against ₹137,999 MRP. In each case, the displayed difference is ₹15,000. This is a dated page snapshot, not a forecast, a financing recommendation or proof it will apply to your PIN code, colour or checkout.

Samsung says prices, specifications and availability can change, and labels promotions as limited-period and while-supplies-last. Check the exact storage option, terms and delivery at checkout. The page lists a smartphone, data cable and ejection pin in the box; it says the S26 and S26+ do not include a travel adapter.
